Why ClipMaxxing has no subscription

Open any AI video tool and you will find the same pricing page: three tiers, a monthly bill, and the features you actually want locked behind the expensive one. We built ClipMaxxing the other way around: no subscription, and every premium feature included for every account.

The subscription tax on creators

Most AI shorts tools charge between $29 and $99 per month. That model made sense when software was a static product. But creators do not publish on a fixed schedule: some months you post daily, some months life happens. A subscription bills both months the same. The slow month is pure loss, and the industry counts on it.

There is a second, quieter cost: feature walls. Voiceover in the mid tier, HD export without watermark in the top tier, API access reserved for enterprise. You end up paying for the most expensive plan not because you need the volume, but because you need one feature.

What prepaid credits change

  • A quiet month costs $0. Credits only move when you generate. Nothing renews, nothing to cancel.
  • No feature walls. AI script, voiceover, word-synced captions, illustrated scenes, 1080×1920 export and the public API are included from the first credit, free ones included.
  • You know the cost before you spend. Every generation shows its credit quote upfront, so there are no surprises.
  • Starting is free. New accounts get 160 credits, no credit card required. You can finish real shorts before paying anything.

Why we can afford it

Subscriptions exist partly to smooth out unpredictable infrastructure costs. Our pipeline is metered end to end: we know what a script, a minute of voiceover and an encode cost us, so we can price credits above cost and let you pay per use. The margin is in the pack, not in a monthly fee you forget about.

Who this model is for

If you run a content farm posting ten clips a day, a flat subscription can win on pure volume, and that is fine. But if you are a creator, a small brand or a developer automating shorts through an API, prepaid credits match how you actually work: bursts of creation, then silence, then bursts again. You pay for output, not for access.
