Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ClipMaxxing ("we", "us") operates the ClipMaxxing web application at clipmaxxing.app. Privacy questions: [email protected].

2. Data we collect

• Account: email address, password hash, credit balance, payment-processor customer ID (if you purchase credits).
• Projects: story text, language and generation settings, uploaded source video and audio, generated scripts, renders, captions, and technical pipeline metadata (step duration, errors, token counts).
• Social accounts: platform identifiers, labels, and OAuth tokens (encrypted at rest) when you connect YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.
• Billing: credit ledger entries and payment webhook records. We do not store payment card numbers.
• Publications: titles and captions you submit when publishing, plus platform post IDs and URLs returned after upload.

3. Why we use it

We process this data to provide the service (generation, preview, download), manage credits and payments, publish to connected social accounts when you ask us to, maintain security (authentication, rate limits), and run automated data retention.

4. Cookies

We use a signed, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in (default: 30 days). During social account connection, short-lived OAuth cookies (~10 minutes) help complete the authorization flow. If you accept analytics, we also set PostHog cookies (hosted in the EU) to measure product usage and catch errors. You can decline; the app still works. We send transactional email (welcome and password reset) through our SMTP provider.

5. Processors

We share data with service providers only as needed to run ClipMaxxing:

• kie.ai - LLM, images, and video generation
• ElevenLabs - voiceover (TTS v3)
• Payment processor - credit pack checkout and card payments
• Google / YouTube, TikTok, Meta - OAuth and publishing to connected accounts
• Cloudflare R2 - storage for generated videos and shared library media
• PostHog - product analytics and error reports (EU cloud), only after you accept
• SMTP provider - welcome and password-reset emails

Your prompts, scripts, voice text, and media may be sent to AI providers to produce output. Connected platforms receive content you choose to publish.

6. Retention

• Sessions expire and are deleted after their TTL (default 30 days).
• Projects are deleted automatically after expiry (default 14 days from creation, with one optional 7-day extension per project).
• Render files may be purged separately (default: 10 days after creation).
• Credit ledger and billing records may be kept longer for accounting and dispute handling.

7. Your choices

You can delete projects, disconnect social accounts, and log out (which clears your session). Full account deletion and automated data export are not available in the app yet. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests under applicable law (including GDPR), email [email protected].

8. International transfers

Some processors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses offered by providers).

9. Hosting

ClipMaxxing is hosted on infrastructure operated by OVHcloud, datacenter Strasbourg, France. OVHcloud (legal host): 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France - ovhcloud.com.

10. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
